2025 Year in Review: Updates for Private Practices
Explore Healthie’s 2025 product updates for private practices — from faster charting and smarter scheduling to streamlined billing and AI-powered documentation.
The product updates that made everyday care, billing, and operations easier.
In 2025, Healthie focused on one core goal for private practices: reduce administrative friction so providers can spend more time delivering care.
Throughout the year, we introduced updates designed to simplify documentation, improve scheduling and billing workflows, strengthen collaboration, and help practices operate with greater clarity and confidence.
To help private practice customers discover and adopt these improvements, we hosted 12 Days of Healthie — a guided walkthrough of the most impactful features released in 2025, paired with short demo videos and practical setup guidance.
Below is a recap of those updates, along with video replays so you can revisit any feature and start using it when it’s most relevant for your practice.
The 12 most impactful updates for private practice from 2025
1. AI Scribe
Turn hours of charting into minutes — without sacrificing accuracy or your clinical voice
AI Scribe is Healthie’s built-in clinical documentation assistant, designed to eliminate one of the biggest pain points in private practice: time spent charting after sessions.
AI Scribe automatically generates structured, editable draft notes from one-on-one Zoom sessions using the chart note templates you already rely on (SOAP, ADIME, intake, or custom). Within seconds of ending a session, a draft note appears directly in Healthie — ready for review, edits, and sign-off.
Because AI Scribe is native to the Healthie EHR, there’s no copy-pasting, no switching tools, and no disconnected workflows. Documentation happens in the background so providers can stay present with clients — and finish the day with far fewer notes left to write.
The impact in 2025 was significant:
- 95% of providers reported reduced documentation time
- 90% saved 10+ minutes per session
- ~15 minutes saved per visit on average
- 100% said notes still reflected their clinical voice
“Documentation is essentially done during the visit. We’ve cut charting time by 70–80%.” — Rhode Island Nutrition, Group Practice

AI Scribe is HIPAA-compliant, HITRUST-certified, fully editable, and keeps providers in complete control of final documentation — making it a powerful option for practices that want to reduce burnout without compromising quality.
2. Customize the Client Quick Profile
Faster charting with less cognitive load
Practices can now customize which information appears in the Client Quick Profile — and in what order — so the most relevant details are visible alongside documentation workflows.
3. Customize the Client Overview + Unified Medications
A clearer clinical picture at a glance
The Client Overview is now fully configurable, allowing teams to surface the components that matter most to their workflows. A new unified Medications component combines self-reported and e-prescribed medications into one view for improved clarity and continuity of care.
4. Workflows Hub
One place to complete post-appointment work
The Workflows Hub centralizes charting, billing, and claims follow-up into a single, actionable workspace — helping practices close the loop on appointments more efficiently.
5. Appointment Requests
Capture client demand even when availability is limited
Appointment Requests allow clients to submit preferred dates and times when no open slots match their needs — helping practices reduce lost leads and manage scheduling follow-up in one place.
6. Provider Bios on Booking Links
Build trust at the point of scheduling
Provider Bios give clients more context when choosing a provider during booking, helping multi-provider practices improve transparency and booking confidence.
7. Custom Letterheads
Consistent, professional documentation
Custom letterheads allow practices to apply branded headers to chart note PDFs and e-faxes, helping ensure documentation looks polished and consistent across clinical and administrative workflows.
8. Refreshed Integrations Experience (Harbor)
Connect your practice tools more easily
Healthie’s Harbor integrations ecosystem helps practices connect billing, automation, and third-party tools into their Healthie workflows. In 2025, we redesigned the Integrations page to improve discovery, clarity, and setup.
9. Auto-Billing for Copays, Deductibles & Coinsurance
More predictable billing with less follow-up
Practices can now automatically charge or invoice patient responsibility amounts after appointments are marked occurred — reducing manual billing steps and improving cash flow visibility.
10. Care Plans + Custom Recommendation Types
Support clients between sessions
Care Plans make it easier to deliver structured, personalized recommendations — helping practices standardize best practices while still tailoring care to individual clients.
11. AR Aging Report
Clear visibility into outstanding balances
The AR Aging Report provides a high-level view of unpaid balances, organized by how long they’ve been outstanding — helping practices stay on top of accounts receivable without manual tracking.
12. Tasks Redesign + Multi-Assignee Support
Better coordination across teams
The redesigned Tasks experience supports multi-assignee workflows, bulk actions, and improved visibility — making it easier for teams to manage follow-ups and shared responsibilities.
Looking ahead to 2026
2025 was about reducing friction across the workflows private practices rely on every day — from documentation and scheduling to billing and follow-up. In 2026, Healthie will continue building on this foundation with a focus on proactive workflows, intelligent automation, and earlier visibility into what needs attention, so practices can operate with greater confidence and less manual effort.
