2025 Year End Company Update
Learn how Healthie delivered on our 2025 product priorities — launching AI-native tools and expanding Data by Healthie — while continuing to strengthen billing, clinical workflows, and developer experience for modern care organizations.
We’re consistently humbled by the organizations that choose Healthie to power care delivery.
In 2025, Healthie crossed a meaningful threshold: 45,000 clinicians now use Healthie to care for 17 million patients, representing 80% year-over-year clinician growth and reinforcing a clear industry shift toward longitudinal, collaborative care models at scale.
This was also the year Healthie evolved from a healthcare infrastructure provider into an AI-first platform.
We launched AI Scribe, our first flagship product under Intelligence by Healthie, to directly reduce documentation burden and clinician burnout.
We introduced Healthie Dev Assist, an AI-powered copilot for developers building on our GraphQL API. And we made major investments across billing, charting, scheduling, operational workflows, and data access, so organizations can deliver clinically excellent care with less friction.
Our long-term direction remains clear: Clinical Excellence at Scale. Building technology that helps clinicians and care teams spend less time navigating complexity and more time delivering care that drives outcomes.
What We Set Out to Do in 2025
As we shared at the start of the year, our 2025 product priorities centered on:
- Quality of our core platform & features
- Quality of how features work together across workflows
- Quality of the ecosystem we build (developer experience + integrations)
And we committed to four roadmap themes:
- Empowering Administrators
- Flexible & Scalable Billing Solutions
- Incredible Clinician Experience
- Shopify-like Developer Experience & New Products
A Look Back at 2025
2025 was the year these priorities became tangible, especially through the launch of Intelligence by Healthie (Dev Assist, AI Scribe) and Data by Healthie (Bridge by Healthie). Below is a look at how we delivered against that vision.
You can view and follow our roadmap anytime in Healthie’s Product Portal.
1. Intelligence by Healthie: From Documentation Burden to AI-Native Workflows
In 2025, we officially launched Intelligence by Healthie, our approach to bringing AI into the workflows clinicians and developers already rely on, in ways that are native, secure, and deeply integrated.
✅ AI Scribe: Chart Notes Powered by AI
In October, we introduced AI Scribe by Healthie, our built-in AI documentation companion that turns telehealth conversations into structured, editable chart notes directly within Healthie.
With AI Scribe, providers can:
- Generate draft notes from telehealth sessions in seconds
- Use existing templates (industry-standard or custom)
- Review, edit, and sign within Healthie’s charting experience
- Stay compliant and secure on top of Healthie’s HIPAA-, HITRUST-, and ONC-certified infrastructure
- Run seamlessly with Zoom + Healthie Calendar for 1:1 telehealth visits
In our Q4 2025 survey of early adopters, providers reported saving ~15 minutes per session, with 95% citing reduced documentation time and 75% noting improved workflow efficiency. Across nutrition, behavioral health, and wellness, clinicians shared that Scribe helps them stay focused during sessions while still producing accurate, comprehensive notes.
Launching AI Scribe was a key milestone in our long-term vision of expanding intelligence across the EHR, starting with one of the highest-friction workflows: charting.
✅ Healthie Dev Assist: An API Co-Pilot for Builders
Earlier in the year, we launched Healthie Dev Assist, an AI-powered development assistant that connects directly to Healthie’s GraphQL API via the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
Dev Assist helps teams:
- Explore the schema in real time
- Write, test, and debug queries and mutations
- Prototype integrations faster — without flipping between docs and consoles
- Support non-technical stakeholders who need to understand what’s possible with Healthie’s API
Because Dev Assist runs in a sandbox environment with live API access, it lowers the barrier to experimentation while preserving safety and control. For digitally sophisticated organizations, Dev Assist is core to our promise of a Shopify-like platform-building experience.
Together, AI Scribe and Dev Assist marked the first major chapter of Intelligence by Healthie, improving both the human workflows (clinical documentation) and the technical workflows (building on our platform).
2. Flexible & Scalable Billing: Automation That Honors Complexity
Billing was a central roadmap theme in 2025. Many Healthie organizations manage multi-payer, multi-state, multi-program revenue models. Our goal was to reduce manual effort while honoring that complexity.
✅ Auto-Billing for Copays, Deductibles & Coinsurance
A major release in October enabled teams to:
- Set patient responsibility logic (copay, deductible, coinsurance) at the policy level
- Auto-charge or auto-invoice after appointments are marked Occurred
- Reduce manual follow-up and revenue leakage
- Improve predictability for both organizations and patients
✅ Insurance Infrastructure Enhancements
We delivered foundational improvements across the insurance experience, including:
- A dedicated Insurance section in main navigation
- New filters and provider filtering for CMS-1500s
- Insurance-based provider filtering for booking and scheduling
- Continued strengthening of Claim.MD functionality, including remittance visibility
- The foundation for upcoming Insurance Payments tooling
Combined with centralized CPT management, write-offs for invoices, and auto-created CMS-1500 claims, 2025 marked meaningful progress toward a truly end-to-end billing engine.
3. Incredible Clinician Experience: Charting, Profiles & Workflows That Get Out of the Way
✅ Charting Refresh + Quality-of-Life Improvements
We modernized the Charting Edit view to make everyday charting clearer, cleaner, and easier to use:
- Cleaner spacing and alignment
- Structured addendum handling
- More intuitive controls
- Improved responsiveness across devices
- Modernized architecture for more reliable saves
We also shipped targeted improvements such as Smart Phrase hotkeys, “Jump to Issue” validation helpers, better image handling, and support for multiple chart notes per appointment.
✅ Configurable Client Profiles & Quick Profile
To reduce cognitive load and improve clinical speed, we made Client Profiles more configurable:
- Organization Owners choose which components appear — and in what order
- A unified Medications component combines e-prescribed and self-reported meds
- Quick Profile was redesigned to surface key health information alongside charting
- Client Actions supports quick-add and in-context editing
Clinical teams now get faster access to exactly the information they need, when they need it.
4. Scheduling, Appointment Management & Provider Visibility at Scale
Modern care organizations need scheduling that supports continuity, access, and coordination.
This year, we:
- Improved provider search, date-range visibility, zoom controls, and filtering in the Org Calendar
- Rolled out Appointment Requests with status tracking
- Launched a new Appointment Details page that consolidates session, billing, and documentation context
- Introduced backend Encounters, with support for Episodes of Care via API
These updates help large, distributed teams coordinate care more effectively, while laying groundwork for longitudinal care models.
5. Enhancing Client Experience & Personalization
✅ Provider Bios: Personalize Provider Selection & Improve Conversions
One of our most impactful client-experience releases of the year, Provider Bios helps organizations showcase clinicians and guide clients toward the best match.
During the “Select Provider” step in booking, clients can now view a provider’s:
- Background and training
- Specialties
- Philosophy of care
- Formatted details (bold, italic, links, and more)
Key features include centralized management, expand/collapse views for clean booking, preview through scheduling links, and full GraphQL read/write support—displayed only when provider selection is required.
This update strengthens trust and transparency and has already driven measurable improvements in booking confidence and conversion rates for multi-provider organizations.
✅ Platform-Level Enhancements: Branding and Operational Performance
In addition to major feature areas, we delivered meaningful platform improvements that help organizations operate with confidence:
- Expanded branding flexibility: Added tertiary color support for white-label customers
- Launched custom letterheads: Create branded chart notes, documents, and faxes with consistent, professional presentation.
- Performance improvements at scale: Continued strengthening reliability and speed across high-volume workflows to support enterprise organizations operating at significant scale.
6. Data by Healthie: Turning Raw Information into Actionable Insight
✅ Bridge by Healthie: Analysis-Ready Data Delivered Every 15 Minutes
In November, we launched Bridge by Healthie, a major milestone in our data strategy.
With Bridge, Enterprise teams can:
- Receive 40+ structured, analysis-ready datasets
- Deliver data to AWS S3 or via Snowflake Direct Share
- Refresh data every 15 minutes
- Avoid pipeline breakage with Healthie-managed schema evolution
- Power BI tools like Tableau, Looker, Metabase, Hex, or internal ML models
Bridge shifts organizations from pulling data to using data — accelerating analytics, forecasting, cohort analysis, and operational reporting.
✅ Reporting Enhancements
We also:
- Launched the AR Aging Report
- Improved cancellation insights, appointment exports, and reporting reliability
- Continued foundational work for Visualize+, our no-code dashboard builder coming in 2026
Together, these investments lay the groundwork for a comprehensive product suite, Data by Healthie.
7. Empowering Administrators: Workflows, Tasks & Cohesive Operational Tools
✅ Workflows Hub: A Centralized Operating System for Post-Visit Work
One of the most impactful releases of 2025 was the launch of the Healthie Workflows Hub, a unified workspace that brings post-appointment operational work into a single actionable view.
Instead of navigating between client profiles, chart notes, billing pages, and claims screens, teams can now manage documentation and revenue cycle follow-up in one place—reducing overhead, accelerating billing timelines, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
Two purpose-built sections support this work:
- Appointments Workflows: Surfaces occurred appointments requiring follow-up (documentation, invoicing, claim submission) with direct actions available inline.
- Chart Notes Workflows: Highlights chart notes needing attention (unsigned, unlocked, co-sign pending) to improve documentation compliance and reduce downstream billing friction.
Workflows respect each user’s permissions and patient access scope—meaning admins can monitor organization-wide activity, while clinicians see only their assigned patients.
✅ Tasks Redesign: A More Coordinated, Team-Centered Way to Manage Follow-Up
We also delivered a major redesign of Tasks, focusing on making task management across organizations more efficient and intuitive.
The updated Tasks experience includes:
- Multi-assignee support for shared accountability
- Inline editing, deleting, and completing tasks wherever they appear
- A modern card-based layout with advanced filters
- Bulk completion and archiving for operational speed
- More dependable reminders for time-sensitive steps
These improvements make Tasks a true operational command center, helping care teams, billers, and administrators stay aligned and maintain consistent follow-up rhythms as organizations scale.
8. A Stronger Ecosystem & Shopify-Like Developer Experience
Throughout 2025, we expanded webhook coverage, improved error messaging, clarified API documentation, and delivered more reliable integrations across key workflows.
We also shipped Phase 1 of a redesigned in-product Integrations experience:
- Cleaner UI and clearer discoverability
- Better categorization and modernized enablement
- Highlighting key partners and platform extensions
This work supports our long-term goal: a flexible, composable ecosystem where organizations can assemble the exact stack they need — on top of Healthie’s core infrastructure.
The Healthie Harbor marketplace reached 75+ integrations in 2025, spanning labs, billing, AI, and communication tools. Key partnership announcements included:
- Claim.MD Native Integration: Delivered native, end-to-end insurance billing within Healthie — enabling real-time eligibility checks, direct CMS-1500 submission, enhanced ERA visibility, and more efficient billing workflows across the revenue cycle.
- Zoom for Healthcare Partnership: Healthie served as a launch partner for Zoom for Healthcare, enabling deep integration that powers AI Scribe's real-time transcription through Zoom's Real-Time Media Services.
- Keragon Integration: Launched a native integration with Keragon, a HIPAA-compliant automation platform that connects Healthie to 300+ tools. This enables organizations to build powerful, no-code workflows across scheduling, charting, billing, and external systems — reducing manual work while extending Healthie’s capabilities without custom engineering.
- Verbal AI Integration: Partnership with the AI-powered healthcare compliance platform enables automatic clinical documentation generation and real-time quality assurance tools synchronized with Healthie's scheduler.
- AI-Powered Integration Expansion: Nine AI-powered integrations added to Harbor include Brellium (90% charting time reduction), Cass (AI wellness chat serving 30M individuals), and anydish (AI precision nutrition).
Looking Ahead to 2026
2025 was about execution — turning strategy into shipped products that reduced administrative burden, strengthened clinical workflows, and helped organizations deliver care more efficiently at scale. From AI-powered documentation and developer tooling to more automated billing, clearer data access, and better operational workflows, we focused on solving the highest-friction problems teams face every day.
In 2026, we’re building on that foundation to help healthcare organizations move beyond reactive systems toward proactive, preventative care — using intelligence, data, and automation to surface insights earlier, coordinate care more effectively, and support better decisions before issues become crises.
