Receptive uses Healthie to run three distinct businesses, each at national scale

Receptive, parent company to Pettable, ADHD Advisor, and Top Nutrition Coaching, selected Healthie after outgrowing a platform that couldn't support national scale or time zone-aware scheduling. These operational gaps were directly driving refunds, disputes, and patient dissatisfaction. Across all three brands, Healthie replaced fragmented manual workflows with configurable, automated scheduling, intake, documentation, and billing infrastructure, including a fully white-labeled build for Pettable and a custom charting workflow for ADHD Advisor that automates patient routing and subscriptions for concierge care. Since implementation, clinicians across all three businesses have reported increased availability and capacity, and Top Nutrition Coaching has eliminated its third-party billing operation entirely because they can use Healthie's ClaimMD integration with minimal operational overhead. Receptive's companies continue to scale on Healthie's platform by adding integrations, automating workflows, and expanding into new care models without adding operational overhead.

Since onboarding Pettable in 2022, Receptive has expanded its Healthie footprint to include ADHD Advisor and Top Nutrition Coaching. Three businesses with distinct clinical models, patient populations, and operational needs, all running on one platform. The results span provider capacity, billing efficiency, and a growing integration roadmap built for continued scale. 

With Healthie: 

  • Billing Automation: Top Nutrition Coaching eliminated its third-party biller and manual reconciliations, instead becoming fully automated with Heathlie's ClaimMD integration.
  • Strong Integration Roadmap: Through Healthie’s integration marketplace, Receptive is in early conversations to connect Zocdoc for ADHD Advisor and Top Nutrition Coaching, while TNC is slated to add Fullscript for clinician resources and DoseSpot for e-prescribing. 
  • Increased Clinician Capacity: Clinicians have reported increased capacity due to smooth operations and minimal time spent on administrative tasks.

Pettable’s high demand nationwide exposed the need for key functionality unavailable on most platforms.

Lack of time zone-aware scheduling risked Pettable’s financial health and reputation.

When Receptive first began scaling Pettable, its ESA and pet wellness platform, the operational cracks appeared fast. Their existing platform buckled under volume within six months, forcing a rebuild mid-stride. What replaced it was a fragmented, manual process: customers purchased, then scheduled asynchronously through support staff, received intake forms via email, and had documents uploaded by hand into a disconnected system with no centralized visibility for the support team. 

Operating across the country compounded the problem. Without time zone-aware scheduling, no-show rates climbed. "We were experiencing higher refund activity, higher credit card disputes, lower star ratings, lower c-sat. It was a problem," says Amber Gill, CEO of Receptive. Competitors couldn't close the gap. "We looked at several platforms, including Jane and SimplePractice, but they didn't have calendar booking functions that could accommodate time zones. We were at scale in all 50 states and no-show rates were a huge issue – customers were joining meetings at the wrong times. The problem  sounded simple, but no one had a solution except Healthie. This made joining Healthie a no-brainer decision."

Healthie’s highly configurable infrastructure is applied to Receptive’s businesses.

“Healthie is a gamechanger," says Amber Gill. "Previous to Healthie, we didn't even have a calendar booking screen pre-purchase, now customers self-schedule. Building in the intake flow, enabling it to be automated, stored internally, and adding a compliant documentation section saved us so much time." Pettable now runs its entire patient operation on Healthie, white-labeled: scheduling, intake, and compliant documentation storage for accommodation letters. 

For ADHD Advisor, Receptive built a custom charting workflow directly in Healthie. After an initial 45-minute assessment, clinicians route each patient into the appropriate care track: assessment only, diagnosis only, or treatment via medication management or ongoing therapy. Locking and signing the chart note automatically triggers the correct subscription package and scheduling instructions, powering seamless upsells without manual intervention. Both ADHD Advisor and Top Nutrition Coaching use Healthie's AI Scribe.

When Receptive acquired Top Nutrition Coaching in September 2025, Healthie's ClaimMD integration eliminated their legacy third-party billing process entirely. "Before, they were exporting appointment reports, sending them to an external biller, and receiving Excel docs back to reconcile records. We don't even touch CMS-1500 files now; they are created, sent, and reconciled automatically.”
