Healthbreak needed to rapidly transition to virtual care

COVID-19 served as the catalyst for Healthbreak to modernize high-volume wellness operations.

Healthbreak is a national provider of worksite wellness programs, helping employers improve population health, reduce healthcare costs, and build more productive cultures. Serving both large and small public-sector and private organizations, they offer coaching, incentive programs, and fitness management.

When COVID-19 halted in-person engagement, Healthbreak urgently needed a secure, scalable way to deliver virtual coaching. “We needed a platform that could keep our services running without compromising privacy, security, or the experience our clients expect,” shared Dawn Obermiller, Program Manager.

Healthbreak works with enterprise clients experiencing significant operational strain, making it difficult to efficiently reach and manage large populations. In one case, a single program manager was manually scheduling sessions for 45,000 members, making sign-ups and attendance tracking nearly impossible. “It simply wasn’t scalable,” Obermiller noted. This experience reinforced Healthbreak’s decision to invest in an all-in-one platform to streamline care delivery and scheduling at scale.

Healthie allowed Healthbreak to rapidly scale virtual care and modernize high-volume operations—removing geographic limitations and increasing access across all client programs.
