When providers are in the middle of their workflow, every second spent navigating away from the charting note, chat or billing is a second lost. The Quick Profile was built to solve exactly that: a fast, accessible flyout that surfaces the client information you need without breaking your flow.

With this release, we've made the Quick Profile significantly more powerful and more reliable. Two meaningful updates are now live: four new customizable clinical components that bring critical client data right where you need it, and a more reliable, always-visible interface that keeps client context front and center no matter where you are in Healthie.

🧩 What's New: Four New Clinical Components

Until now, the Quick Profile offered a solid snapshot of basic client information but for providers managing complex care, that wasn't always enough. To check on a client's current medications, recent labs, active diagnoses or allergies, you'd have to leave your workflow entirely. That interruption adds up.

Quick Profile now supports four new customizable clinical components: Medications, Labs, Diagnoses, and Allergies.

These components are built into the Quick Profile's existing customization page, giving org owners full control over which sections are active and in what order. It's the same intuitive drag-and-drop experience you already know — just with a significantly richer set of options.

Here's what's included:

  • Medications: View and manage a client's current medications
  • Labs: Access recent laboratory results at a glance, with search and filtering options
  • Diagnoses: View active and historical diagnoses directly within the client chart flyout
  • Allergies: Surface client allergy and sensitivity information immediately alongside other clinical data

How it works:

All four components are inactive by default, so existing workflows are completely unaffected until you're ready to turn them on. Organization owners can activate, reorder, and remove components from the Quick Profile customization page, and each component retains its full functionality (view, add, edit, delete) right inside the Quick Profile. Components also load asynchronously, so adding more sections doesn't slow down the rest of the profile.

🖥️ What's New: A More Reliable, Always-Visible Quick Profile

The Quick Profile flyout has been meaningfully upgraded to better support how providers actually work.

The panel now displays seamlessly alongside page content - no overlapping elements, no layout disruption. This enables a true side-by-side experience within any workflow. Even when the Quick Profile is collapsed, key client-identifying information remains visible at all times, so providers can confirm a client’s name or date of birth at a glance without interrupting their flow.

What's changed:

  • Client info is now always visible: Patient name, date of birth, and key demographics remain displayed throughout charting, messaging, and billing workflows, even when the Quick Profile is collapsed. This reduces the risk of charting on the wrong client and supports compliance standards across your organization.
  • The aside is now wider and non-disruptive: The Quick Profile has been redesigned to render consistently across all areas of Healthie. It no longer overlays or pushes surrounding content, giving providers a true, stable side-by-side experience.
  • Consistent rendering everywhere: Whether you're in a charting note, a client message thread, or a care plan, the Quick Profile now behaves predictably - no layout shifts, no content blocking.

Who benefits:

  • Providers: Work through your clinical workflows with full confidence that client context is always visible and that the interface won't get in the way.
  • Administrators: A more stable, predictable interface means fewer support questions and a smoother onboarding experience for new providers joining your organization.
  • Clients: Benefit from providers having immediate access to their information, reducing the chance of errors and supporting more efficient, informed consultations.

🚀 The Bigger Picture

Taken together, these two updates represent a significant step forward for Quick Profile as a core clinical tool. It's no longer just a snapshot - it's a fully configurable, always-on clinical sidebar that keeps providers grounded in client context from the moment a session begins to the moment it ends.

We're continuing to invest in Quick Profile as a central part of the Healthie experience. Future enhancements will expand the range of available components and introduce deeper customization options for organizations with specialized workflows.

⏭️ How to Get Started

New clinical components are available now via the Quick Profile customization page. Org owners can navigate to Settings > Quick Profile to activate Medications, Labs, Diagnoses, or Allergies for your organization.

Consistent rendering and persistent client info are live automatically - no action needed. You'll notice the updated interface the next time you open a client chart.
