Spotlight on Healthie: PDF Editor

Our new Healthie PDF Editor is a professional-grade, browser-based PDF editing experience built directly into the Healthie platform. Providers can now annotate, fill, highlight, freehand markup, and digitally sign a PDF without downloading anything or switching to an external tool. 

Whether it's a referral form, a letter of medical necessity, an FMLA certification, or a consent document, the entire editing and sending workflow now happens in one place.

With the Healthie PDF Editor, you can now: 

Edit without ever leaving Healthie: The entire editing experience happens in-browser, within the Healthie interface providers already use. Text annotations, highlights, freehand drawing, and form completion are all supported natively.

Digital signatures for consent and clinical documents: Providers can apply digital signatures directly to consent forms, referral letters, clinical assessments, and any other document that requires a sign-off.

Save drafts and return to editing: Not every document gets completed in one sitting. Healthie PDF Editor supports a draft state, so providers can save their progress, and pick back up later without losing any work.

Seamless document delivery: Send completed documents to clients, client groups, or organization members from the same document sharing side sheet you already use.

A full audit trail, automatically Every edit is logged with a timestamp and the user who made it, creating a clear and compliance-ready record of document activity. Administrators have complete visibility into who touched what and when.

Secure by design All editing happens within Healthie's HIPAA-compliant environment. Sensitive documents never leave the platform, which means no third-party tool has access to protected health information during the editing process.

How to access the Healthie PDF Editor

The Healthie PDF Editor is available as an add-on for organizations on the Essentials, Plus, Group, and Enterprise plans. If you're on one of these plans and want to enable it, complete the PDF Editor Enrollment Form. 

Once enabled, the editor surfaces directly in provider-facing charts, wherever a PDF document appears.
