Being Health set out to launch a modern, patient-centered practice offering truly integrated, whole-person care—including psychiatry, psychotherapy, interventional treatments like Spravato and IV/IM ketamine, acupuncture, nutrition, and functional medicine. “Our care model is complex and requires a flexible, intuitive EHR that supports seamless coordination across a multidisciplinary team,” explains Allie Sharma, MD, MSc, Co-founder and Chief Medical Officer at Being Health. 

Being Health needed a digital infrastructure that could streamline clinical operations while delivering a premium patient experience—both in-person and virtually. “We were looking for a platform that could grow with us and reflect the level of care we provide,” Sharma shared.

Being Health explored several platforms, including Osmind, Optimantra, Capable Health, PracticeQ, and Elation, but were most impressed by Healthie’s functionality or user experience. “Healthie stood out as the ideal turn-key solution that allowed us to seamlessly launch our modern, patient-centered practice while ensuring scalability for future growth,” said Sharma. 

Healthie delivered the infrastructure Being Health needed to power a complex, interdisciplinary model — without forcing compromise. “We needed a platform that could support the complexity of an integrated mental health clinic — one that combines traditional care with interventional treatments like Spravato and IV/IM ketamine, as well as wellness services like nutrition and acupuncture,” said Sharma. 

Healthie stood out for its modularity and API access. “We appreciated the flexibility to tailor the platform to our workflows, rather than forcing our workflows to conform to rigid software,” said Sharma. Healthie’s open API is appealing as it enables customers to build custom integrations across clinical, operational, and patient-facing tools– syncing lab results, refining intake tracking, and supporting ketamine monitoring,” explains Sharma. 

Being Health utilizes nearly all of Healthie's components, including scheduling, patient communication, packages, charting, labs, medication ordering, and care plans. As Being Health prepared to go in-network with insurance plans in 2025, they felt confident that Healthie’s integrated billing solution would streamline operations to make it a seamless transition.
