July 2026 Healthie Product Updates
Healthie's July 2026 updates give providers full control over chart note, with appointment links, richer group charting fields, and greater folder sharing.
July's updates give providers and teams more self-serve control over the work that happens around and inside the chart note — from how notes connect to appointments, to how group sessions get closed, to how documents reach clients and staff at scale.
Read on for the highlights, or jump straight to the full July 2026 Release Notes.
Chart note linking and unlinking from appointments
Providers now have full self-serve control over how chart notes connect to appointments, directly within the charting interface. The linked appointment appears in the chart note header, and a three-dot context menu lets providers link, re-link, or unlink from both edit and view modes.
Linkage can be edited on signed and locked notes without reverting their status or requiring re-signing. Org admins can control access through a dedicated permission.
Group charting enhancements
July adds two new capabilities to group charting, both enabled at the org level.
Per-Client Charting Fields: Group notes now support per-client Attended status, Join/Leave Time, and Diagnosis (ICD code lookup) fields. These give organizations the structured, individual-level documentation they need for billing, reporting, and clinical accountability, and can be enabled on a per-role basis by org admins. Learn More.
Required Individual Notes for Group Sessions: Org owners can now block a group session from being signed or locked until every attended client has a completed individual note. If any clients are missing documentation, the error message identifies exactly who still needs one, so nothing gets closed with gaps. Learn More.

Folder sharing improvements
Sharing documents with clients, onboarding new staff, and distributing clinical protocols at scale all depend on a folder sharing experience that doesn't slow you down. This month, folder sharing in Healthie has been fully rebuilt.
Sharing now opens in a clean side-sheet interface — replacing the previous center modal — with server-side search that returns accurate results instantly, no matter how large your client list. For practices sharing with thousands of clients, the process now runs in the background, so it never blocks other work in the platform.
All existing sharing configurations are preserved automatically, no action required.
Additional updates
July also includes several other improvements across the platform:
- Org Members Join Zoom Group Appointments as Co-Hosts: Team members joining a virtual group appointment via Healthie's Zoom integration are now automatically promoted to co-host, giving them full meeting controls as soon as they join. Healthie registers them as alternate hosts at scheduling time, so no manual Zoom configuration is needed. The primary provider and client experience remains unchanged. Learn More.
- Reconnect Your Google Calendar in One Click: If your Google Calendar sync ever stops working — due to a password change or revoked access — you'll now see a clear notification and a one-click Reconnect button directly in your calendar settings. Learn More.
- AI Scribe Form Settings for Form Editors: Form editors can now configure Healthie AI Scribe-related form settings — like excluding a field from Scribe or setting Scribe instructions — even if Scribe isn't enabled on their own account, as long as their organization has Scribe available.
- Appointment Banner Improvements: Once an appointment's end time passes, its "Join appointment" banner now disappears automatically. When appointments are close together, the most relevant banner always stays on top.
API Updates
All features released this month are available via the API. We're continuing to invest in the developer experience, including documentation, SDKs, and webhooks. More updates will be rolling out in the months ahead.
Two New Webhook Events
This month also introduces two new webhook events for video waiting rooms: appointment.participant_joined_waiting_room and appointment.participant_left_waiting_room.
These fire when a patient joins or leaves the waiting room, so you can notify providers the moment a patient arrives or use the events for logging. To start receiving them, subscribe your webhook endpoint to these event types in your organization's webhook settings.

Clinicians are right to be asking harder questions about AI data governance, and this blog gives you the framework to do it. It covers five questions EHR vendors should be prepared to answer about data retention, model training, and patient consent, and explains why HIPAA compliance alone isn't a complete answer when it comes to AI-generated session transcripts.
