The Challenge
Why does pediatric behavioral health need different tooling?
Scaling a consumer health business across all 50 states is operationally demanding. Scaling three of them, each with a distinct clinical model, patient population, and service flow, requires infrastructure flexible enough to support every configuration without fragmenting into separate systems for each brand.
For Pettable, Receptive's ESA and pet wellness platform, the requirements were specific: time zone-aware scheduling for a nationwide patient base, a fully white-labeled patient experience, and intake and documentation workflows that could run without manual intervention.
For ADHD Advisor, the priority was clinical routing -- the ability to automate the next care step directly from a chart note.
For Top Nutrition Coaching, acquired in September 2025, the immediate need was eliminating a fragmented, manual billing process and replacing it with something that ran on its own. No-show rates were a concrete pressure point across the business. Without time zone-aware scheduling, patients across the country were joining appointments at the wrong time. "We were experiencing higher refund activity, higher credit card disputes, lower star ratings, lower c-sat. It was a problem," says Amber Gill, CEO of Receptive.
Receptive evaluated multiple platforms before finding that Healthie was the only one built to solve it.
“We looked at several platforms, and no one had truly advanced scheduling. We were at scale in all 50 states and no-show rates were a huge issue because customers were joining meetings at the wrong times. The problem sounded simple, but no one had a solution except Healthie. This made joining Healthie a no-brainer decision.”

Healthie's extensibility in practice: three businesses, three entirely different builds
Healthie's configurability meant Receptive could build each brand's workflow from the ground up without standing up a separate system for each one. The result is three distinct clinical and patient experiences, each purpose-built for its care model, all running on a single Healthie instance.
For Pettable, that meant a fully white-labeled, end-to-end patient experience: patients self-schedule, complete intake, and receive documentation without ever seeing the Healthie interface.
For ADHD Advisor, it meant a custom charting workflow where a clinician locking and signing a chart note automatically triggers the correct subscription package and scheduling instructions for the next care step.
For Top Nutrition Coaching, it meant replacing an entire external billing operation with automation that runs without anyone managing it. "Healthie is a gamechanger. Track every claim's status (Sent, Batched, Rejected, etc.) from a filterable CMS 1500 Dashboard, and log reimbursement and co-pay details per claim.
