Google Calendar
Two-way syncs Healthie's calendar with Google Calendar, so appointments booked in Healthie appear on Google Calendar and events on Google Calendar block availability in Healthie automatically. Updates typically sync within about 15 minutes, keeping both calendars accurate without manual double-checking.

The problem it solves
Providers who manage their day-to-day life in Google Calendar have no automatic way to stop clients from booking over personal commitments, and manually blocking time in two systems is error-prone. Without a live two-way connection, appointments and personal events drift out of sync and double-bookings slip through.
What's included
- Bidirectional sync between Healthie and a dedicated "Healthie" calendar in Google
- Independent toggles for Push to Calendar, Pull from Calendar, and Pull event details
- Automatic sync within ~15 minutes of changes on either side
- HIPAA-safe defaults withholding client names unless a signed Google BAA is on file
- Support for syncing multiple Google sub-calendars into Healthie availability
How it works
Navigate to Settings > Calendar > External Sync > Connect Your Google Account, then continue to Connect my Google Calendar. This launches Google's OAuth screen, where the provider must grant Healthie permission to see, edit, share, and delete calendars — the sync won't function without this scope. After authorization, the initial sync completes within about an hour and creates a "Healthie" calendar in Google. From there, providers configure Push to Calendar, Pull from Calendar (choosing which Google calendars block Healthie availability), and Pull event details (show titles in Healthie vs. just "Busy"). Ongoing syncing then runs automatically, typically reflecting changes within 15 minutes.
Google Calendar sync creates a bidirectional connection between Healthie and Google Calendar: Healthie appointments push onto a dedicated "Healthie" calendar in Google, and events marked busy on Google Calendar pull into Healthie to override weekly availability and prevent double booking. It's built for providers and organizations who run day-to-day scheduling from Google Calendar and want Healthie to respect commitments made outside the platform. Setup happens in Healthie's Calendar settings by connecting a Google account through OAuth, after which providers can toggle push, pull, and event-detail visibility independently. Only one Google account can be synced per Healthie calendar per organization, and client names are withheld from synced events by default unless a signed BAA with Google is on file.
