Automated Client Email Notifications

Automatically sends transactional emails to clients for key actions, like being added to the platform, receiving a chat message, or completing an appointment purchase, branded by default with your organization's logo. Emails send from a generic hello@gethealthie.com address unless your organization is on an Enterprise plan with its own domain configured. Enterprise organizations can also disable specific categories of client or provider emails, though Healthie doesn't support sending a one-off, non-automated email to a client.

The problem it solves

Manually notifying every client every time something requires their attention, like a new document, an account invite, or a chat message, doesn't scale, and inconsistent outreach risks clients missing something important. This automatically triggers the right notification email at the right moment, branded consistently, without relying on staff to remember to send it.

What's included

  • Automatic transactional emails triggered by key client-facing actions (account creation, chat message received, booking/purchase confirmation, and more)
  • Default organization branding (logo) on all client-facing emails
  • Default sending address of hello@gethealthie.com, or the organization's own domain on Enterprise plans
  • Enterprise-level ability to disable categories of client-facing or provider-facing emails
  • No support for one-off, non-automated emails; Chat is the recommended substitute

How it works

As clients take actions that require their attention, such as being added to Healthie, receiving a chat message, or completing a booking through a shared link, Healthie automatically triggers the corresponding email, branded with the organization's logo by default. If a client replies to one of these emails, the reply routes to the sending provider's own inbox rather than to Healthie. Enterprise organizations can have emails sent from their own domain instead of the default hello@gethealthie.com address, and can request that entire categories of automated emails be turned off, such as all client-facing or all provider-facing notifications; Healthie strongly discourages disabling all client emails unless the organization is using the API or SSO to independently notify clients.

Automated Client Email Notifications sends transactional emails to clients whenever they're added to Healthie, receive a chat message, book or purchase through a shared link, or take other key actions, without requiring a provider to send anything manually. It's built to keep clients informed of account activity that needs their attention, like logging in to complete a form or view a new document, while staying branded with the organization's own logo by default. Emails are sent from a generic hello@gethealthie.com address by default; Enterprise organizations with a configured email domain send from their own address instead, and can further adjust which categories of automated emails go out, including disabling all client-facing or all provider-facing emails. There is currently no way to send a one-off, non-automated email to a client directly through Healthie; a chat message is the recommended alternative for ad hoc communication.
