Smart Phrases and Hotkeys
Save reusable phrases, recommendations, and responses to a personal or shared library, then insert them instantly while charting, chatting, or writing an addendum. Trigger the library with a lightbulb icon or a "." hotkey followed by a space, then type letters to filter down to the right phrase. Admins can allow team members to share their Smart Phrases with the rest of the organization.

The problem it solves
Providers often retype the same standard language, assessments, or responses across many clients and conversations, which slows down charting and chat and introduces inconsistency. Smart Phrases and Hotkeys solves this by letting that language be saved once and inserted instantly wherever it's needed, personally or shared across the team.

How it works
A provider navigates to the Smart Phrases settings page and adds a phrase with a name and the saved text; it then appears in their Smart Phrase library alongside the initials of whoever created it. While charting, chatting, or adding an addendum or task comment, the provider clicks the lightbulb icon or types "." followed by a space to open the phrase list, then types additional letters to filter down to a specific phrase; selecting it inserts the text, which can still be edited before saving or sending. New phrases can also be created directly from within charting or chat via "Create Smart Phrase," without navigating to settings. If an admin enables sharing for a team member, that member's phrases become available to the whole organization through the same shortcut.

Phrases can be inserted via a lightbulb icon or by typing a "." followed by a space to open the phrase list, then narrowing it by typing more letters from the phrase name. Organization admins can grant individual team members permission to share their personal Smart Phrases with the rest of the org, making them available to everyone via the same shortcut.
