Promo Codes

Create percentage-off or dollar-off promo codes clients can apply to a Client Package at checkout, including 100%-off codes that waive payment entirely. Scope a code to specific packages or all packages, set it to apply once or to every payment of a recurring package, and set an expiration date. Track code usage for marketing and referral attribution.

The problem it solves

Manually discounting a package for referrals or promotions, and tracking where those discounted signups came from, is hard to do consistently without a dedicated mechanism. Promo Codes solves this by giving providers a reusable, trackable discount code that applies automatically at checkout.

What's included

  • Percentage-off or dollar-off code configuration
  • 100%-off codes that waive payment and skip the card-on-file prompt
  • Scoping to all packages or a specific selection of packages
  • One-time or every-payment discount application for recurring packages
  • Expiration date setting and per-code usage tracking

How it works

A provider creates a promo code from the Promo Codes settings page, choosing a percentage or dollar discount, an optional expiration date, and which packages it applies to (all by default, or a specific selection). If the discount is set to apply to every payment, it recurs across all billing periods of a recurring package rather than just the first. A client enters the code during checkout, and the discount is applied before payment is finalized; if the discount brings the price to zero, the client isn't prompted for a card at all. Providers can view code usage from the Promo Codes overview page, including which packages each code applies to.

Promo Codes let providers create percentage- or dollar-amount discounts that clients apply when purchasing a Client Package, including a 100%-off code that waives payment (and the card-on-file prompt) entirely. It's built for practices running referral programs, seasonal promotions, or limited-time offers on specific services. Each code can be scoped to all packages or a specific subset, set to apply once or to every payment of a recurring package, and given an expiration date to encourage timely signups. Clients are limited to applying one promo code per purchase, and deleting a code doesn't retroactively affect clients who already used it.
