E-Rx Medication History
Pull a client's historical medication data from SureScripts directly within the E-Rx prescribing portal, separate from the medication information documented on the client's Healthie profile. Requires E-Rx to be enabled and the client's consent to be acknowledged before the history can be viewed. This historical data does not automatically populate into the client's Healthie profile.

The problem it solves
A client's medication history often includes prescriptions from providers or pharmacies outside a practice's own records, which self-reported or manually entered medication data can't capture. E-Rx Medication History solves this by pulling that broader SureScripts-sourced history directly into the same prescribing workflow, without requiring the client to recall or re-report it themselves.
What's included
- SureScripts-sourced historical medication data, accessible within the E-Rx portal
- Availability to both Prescribing Clinicians and Proxy members
- Client consent acknowledgment required before viewing historical data
- Historical data kept separate from the client's Healthie profile, with no automatic sync
How it works
A Prescribing Clinician or Proxy accesses E-Rx through a client's profile as though managing prescriptions, then requests to view the client's historical medication information; the system requires acknowledging the client's consent before the data will display. Once acknowledged, the historical medication list, sourced from SureScripts, displays within the E-Rx portal. This information stays separate from the client's Healthie profile and from Client Medication History, and does not populate into either automatically.
E-Rx Medication History lets Prescribing Clinicians and Proxies pull a client's historical medication data from SureScripts directly within the E-Rx prescribing portal, distinct from medication data documented directly on a client's Healthie profile via Client Medication History. It's built for prescribers who want visibility into a client's broader medication history, including prescriptions from other providers, beyond what's been manually entered or self-reported in Healthie. Because pulling this data requires acknowledging the client's consent, it's a deliberate, on-demand action rather than something that happens automatically. This historical information does not sync or populate into the client's Healthie profile; it's viewable only within the E-Rx portal itself.
