The problem it solves
Organizations that want to offer clients a buy-now-pay-later option like Klarna have no native way to do so inside Healthie's built-in checkout, since Klarna isn't one of the default payment methods in Client Packages. This solves that by exposing Klarna as a payment method through the API, connected to the same Stripe account already processing card payments.

How it works
An organization with API access works with Healthie's Solutions Engineering team to build a custom front-end checkout flow on top of Healthie's API, which connects to the organization's existing Stripe processing to accept Klarna as a payment method. The client completes payment through Klarna in that custom flow rather than Healthie's built-in Client Package checkout, without needing a personal Stripe or Klarna account. If a Klarna payment (or any other payment) happens outside of Healthie entirely, it can be manually logged in Healthie as an outside payment from Billing > Payments, to keep financial reporting complete.
