Q3 2026 Product Recap
See what Healthie shipped in Q3 2026: expanded AI Charting, native Zoom telehealth, and Automate by Healthie.
Healthie’s 2026 Product Vision reinforced our commitment to longitudinal, collaborative healthcare care delivered at scale and, importantly, in a way that enables our customers to benefit directly from AI-Native tools each step of the way. Q3 2026 was Healthie’s strongest quarter to date, both in the features we shipped and in the volume of back-end infrastructure upgrades our teams delivered.
Clinician favorites of Q3 2026 included our new AI Charting Suite, which builds upon the release of Scribe and includes Encounter Summaries, Scribe Tasks, and more. AI-based documentation has crossed the chasm into every day use for our providers, and we now see millions of minutes of provider time saved each week. We’ve brought telehealth inside the clinical workflow, tightened data accuracy at the point of care, given administrators finer control over who can do what, and given organizations a way to build their own workflow logic without leaving the platform. We continue to focus on six areas: intelligence, mobile experience, clinical workflows, care coordination, data, and developer tools.
Other outcomes of Q3 2026: Zoom visits run natively inside Healthie. Care Alerts, multi-clinic E-Rx support, and granular scheduling permissions address the accuracy and control gaps that appear as organizations grow. Two new dashboards round out operational visibility. Automate by Healthie lets organizations with API access define trigger-based workflows on the platform itself, rather than stitching them together around it.
Below is a closer look at what shipped in July, August, and September, as well as what's coming in Q4. As always, you can view and follow our roadmap anytime in Healthie's Product Portall.
1. Intelligence by Healthie: AI Charting Extends Beyond the Note
In our 2026 Product Vision, we committed to more robust, customizable AI Scribe workflows shaped by real provider feedback. Q1 opened the beta for in-person Ambient Scribe, and Q2 took it to broad availability and gave admins usage visibility. Q3 extends AI Charting to what follows the visit, and gives organizations a way to shape how Scribe documents across every team.
✅ AI Encounter Summaries and AI Scribe Tasks
Both capabilities moved out of beta this quarter and are now included in AI Charting alongside AI Scribe, at no added cost to organizations already on the platform.
How it works:
- AI Encounter Summaries generates a concise, structured clinical summary the moment a chart note is locked, covering up to six labeled bullets: Reason for Visit or Progress, History, Symptom Review, Key Findings, Current Treatment, and Plan. Summaries are editable inline, with every edit attributed by provider name, date, and time.
- AI Scribe Tasks draft follow-ups such as referrals, lab orders, and prescription adjustments from the session transcript as soon as an appointment ends. Tasks land in the standard task list with a "Generated by AI" badge and behave like any other task.
Admins and Org Owners can track organization-wide Scribe minutes usage anytime in the AI Scribe Usage Dashboard.
✅ Custom Instructions for AI Scribe
Q2 introduced form-level Scribe instructions. This quarter, organizations can set plain-language instructions at three levels: the organization, the appointment type, or the individual form. When they overlap, form-level instructions take precedence.
How it works:
- Use cases include enforcing a specific clinical voice, standardizing status language across visit types, or fixing the exact format for fields like dietary recall or intervention plans
- A new AI Scribe Configuration Guide walks organizations through field labels, placeholder structure, and instruction writing, so output can match each organization's specialty and style rather than Healthie's defaults.
Together, these updates turn AI Charting from a note generator into a documentation workflow: the note, the summary, and the follow-ups all come from the same session, and every AI-generated output stays editable and attributed. Custom Instructions is the first real lever for what Intelligence by Healthie was always meant to be, shaped by the organization using it rather than identical across every account.
2. Mobile & Telehealth: Care Wherever It Happens
Care doesn't only happen at a desk, and this quarter neither did two of Healthie's core clinical workflows. Q2 flagged embedded Zoom as a rollout in progress. It's now live, with real-time translated captions and native chart note access on mobile.
✅ Embedded Zoom Experience for Video Appointments
Providers and patients now join Zoom video visits directly inside Healthie, and charting tools stay visible throughout the session. Organizations set a default video call behavior (In Healthie or In Zoom App), so each organization or team can move to the embedded experience on its own schedule. Existing Zoom URLs, appointment management, and notifications are unchanged.
✅ Real-time translated captions for Zoom video appointments
Live translated captions are now available for Zoom sessions in 36 languages, activated from directly within the session with no separate tools or accounts required. Each patient selects their own caption language, even in group sessions where multiple languages are represented.
✅ View Chart Notes on Mobile (iOS & Android)
Providers can now view chart notes natively in the Healthie mobile app, including content, status, history log, signatures, and addendums are all accessible without a browser AI Scribe-converted notes display a callout confirming AI origin, and search, sort, and filter by note type, status, and date range work the same as on desktop
For organizations serving multilingual patient populations or distributed care teams, these three updates point the same direction: fewer places a provider has to be, and fewer barriers to a patient understanding their own care, regardless of device or language.
3. Clinical Workflows: Point-of-Care Accuracy and Compliance
Reducing documentation and coordination burden only matters if the information providers are acting on is accurate. Q3 added a new way to surface critical context at the point of care, plus several updates that tighten data accuracy for organizations operating across multiple clinics or states.
✅ Care Alerts
Providers and care coordinators can now pin patient-specific flags, in free text, with an optional high-priority marker and expiration date, directly to a patient's record via Care Alerts.
How it works:
- Alerts surface both on the patient's profile and in Quick Profile, so the same context is visible everywhere a provider already works.
- Organizations can configure alerts to require acknowledgment: a pop-up appears the moment a profile is opened, and staff must confirm they've seen it before continuing.
- Every create, edit, and delete is logged with timestamp and actor, for a full audit trail.
✅ E-Rx multi-clinic support
Providers at multi-state organizations can now view and switch a patient's DoseSpot clinic association directly inside Healthie, before entering the prescribing workflow. A clinic selector appears at every DoseSpot entry point and the selection persists across visits, reducing the risk of a prescription being submitted under the wrong clinic.
✅ Sex on File with Insurance, now synced to E-Rx and E-Labs
Healthie now sends a patient's Sex on File with Insurance to DoseSpot, Change Healthcare, and E-Labs Direct as the primary demographic input, falling back to Gender only when that field is empty. This reduces the identity-matching errors that can trigger claim rejections or lab fulfillment issues.
✅ Healthie PDF Editor
Providers can annotate, highlight, and apply e-signatures to PDFs directly inside Healthie, without exporting to a separate tool. Common uses include return-to-school notes, FMLA documentation, and ADA accommodation letters. Drafts save independently of publishing, and publishing flattens the PDF and makes it shareable with patients, groups, or other organization members. A full audit trail tracks every edit.
✅ Enhanced diagnosis code search
Following the Diagnosis List Module in Q2, ICD-10 search in the charting interface now tolerates typos and matches on clinical synonyms. A mistyped "ADDH" still surfaces ADHD-related codes, and searching "hyperactivity" returns attention-deficit codes. It applies automatically for every organization using the Diagnosis Module, with no setup required.
For organizations operating across multiple clinics or states, these used to be manual workarounds. Now they're built into the workflow itself.
4. Care Coordination & Operations at Scale
As organizations grow past a handful of providers or locations, the details of who can edit what, and how consistently group care gets documented, stop being edge cases and start being operational risk. Q3 addressed both.
✅ Granular permissions for availability & calendar blocks
Administrators can now configure four permissions independently by role, giving larger organizations more precise control over who can change whose schedule. They're set in Settings > Organization Settings > Member > Permissions.
Four permissions:
- Manage one's own availability
- Manage one's own calendar blocks
- Manage other members' availability
- Manage other members' calendar blocks
✅ Group charting with per-patient accountability
Group charting notes now support per-patient Attended status, Join/Leave Time, and Diagnosis fields, giving organizations structured, per-patient documentation for billing, reporting, and clinical accountability. Organizations can also require a complete individual note for every attended patient before a provider can sign or lock the group note, with clear messaging showing exactly who is still missing documentation.
✅ Folder sharing, rebuilt for scale
Folder sharing now runs through a redesigned side sheet with server-side search, so it stays fast for organizations managing more than 10,000 patients. Sharing with large patient lists happens in the background and never blocks other work. All existing sharing configurations are carried over automatically.
✅ Assign multiple appointment types to a single availability block
Availability setup now supports multiple appointment types on one record instead of a separate block for each, which means fewer records to build, edit, and review per provider. Updated calendar tiles and hover content show which appointment types a block covers at a glance. It works across provider and organization-level availability calendars, with the same flexibility available through the API.
None of these are headline features on their own. Together, they keep scheduling, documentation, and permissions consistent as an organization adds providers and locations.
5. Data by Healthie: Two New Dashboards and a Fuller Operational Picture
In our 2026 Product Vision, we committed to expanding Visualize by Healthie so teams get faster, self-service access to operational insight. Q1 delivered Payments and Provider Utilization. Q2 closed the loop on Appointment Requests. Q3 adds the two dashboards that round out day-to-day operations: no-shows and task completion.
✅ No-Show Dashboard
The new No Show Dashboard surfaces total no-shows, no-show rate, and average no-show appointment price in one view that is refreshed hourly. This enables leaders to see the revenue impact of missed care as it happens. Results can be broken down by appointment type, visit modality, and patient confirmation status, or explored in a Provider Detail table exportable as CSV, XLSX, or JSON.
✅ Task Completion Dashboard
The new Task Completion Dashboard shows open tasks, completion rate, average days to close, and overdue tasks across the organization, including how AI-generated follow-ups are being handled alongside manual ones.
How it works:
- Choose from three views: By Task, By Provider, and Task Detail.
- Filter by creation source, auto-generated versus manually created, to see AI Scribe Task volume separately from manual workflows.
- Use the By Provider view to see where follow-ups are stalling across teams and locations.
✅ Appointments & Provider Utilization Dashboard Enhancements
The Appointments Dashboard now shows all-provider data with a top-20 (up from top-10) provider breakdown and a Full Provider Breakdown table by appointment type. Provider Utilization Dashboard hours are now rounded for at-a-glance readability, with full decimal precision still available in the raw data table.
✅ Visualize+ Enters Beta
Visualize+, Healthie's no-code analytics layer, also entered beta this quarter for organizations on dedicated databases, ahead of a targeted Q4 general availability.
Between the dashboards above and what Visualize+ opens up next, the direction is the same one we laid out at the start of the year: from static reports toward insight organizations can act on the same day it's generated.
6. Platform & Developer Experience: Automate by Healthie
Being an API-first platform means little if the only way to act on that data is to build something from scratch. This quarter's biggest developer-facing release gives organizations a way to build workflow logic on top of Healthie, using Healthie's own infrastructure, rather than bolting on a third-party tool.
✅ Automate by Healthie, live for API customers
Automate is a trigger-based automation engine built directly into Healthie. Organizations define an event and pair it with an action that fires automatically, so follow-ups no longer depend on staff catching up manually. It’s available today to organizations with API access, and an in-product automation builder for non-technical teams is planned by the end of Q4.
How it works:
- Triggers and actions: an event such as a no-show, a signed chart note, or a form answer can start an action automatically.
- Automate Builder: organizations describe an automation in plain language, and it's built and tested in a staging environment first. Nothing reaches production until the organization reviews and imports it.
- Compliance: Automate runs entirely within Healthie's existing infrastructure and is covered under the organization's current BAA.
✅ API & developer updates
Two new webhook events, appointment.participant_joined_waiting_room and appointment.participant_left_waiting_room, notify integrations the moment a patient enters or leaves a video waiting room.
Dynamic complexity scaling for appointment search queries began rolling out in phases this quarter, giving integration teams a clear timeline and specific guidance to adjust Zoom-field queries before thresholds tighten further in October and November.
Automate is what "buy and build" looks like in practice on this platform: the trigger-based logic that used to require a custom integration or a third-party workflow tool now lives inside Healthie, configurable by each organization for how it runs, and covered by the same compliance foundation as everything else on the platform.
What's Coming Next
Q3 closed out several items we flagged at the end of Q2. Q4 builds on those themes: documentation that follows clinicians to wherever care happens, AI that helps providers get oriented faster, and automation and analytics that organizations can configure without engineering support. Here's what's planned on the H2 roadmap.
✦ Create & Edit Chart Notes on Mobile
Full charting, not just viewing, is coming to the Healthie mobile app, extending this quarter's view-only release into a complete charting experience for home visits, in-person sessions, and on-call work. Targeted for early October.
Follow this update on the roadmap →
✦ AI Chart Summaries
Auto-generated, bullet-point overviews of a patient's medical history, medications, diagnoses, and recent encounters, so providers can get oriented before, during, or between visits without scrolling through the full chart. Targeted for Q4.
Follow this update on the roadmap →
✦ Automate Builder, In-Product
The self-serve automation experience currently available to API customers is being built directly into the Healthie interface, so non-technical teams will be able to configure their own trigger-based workflows without a developer. Planned by the end of Q4.
Follow this update on the roadmap →
✦ Visualize+ General Availability
Visualize+ moves from beta to general availability, giving organizations on dedicated databases a self-service way to build custom dashboards and explore their own data without engineering support. Targeted for Q4.

Enabling Proactive, Preventative, Longitudinal Healthcare, Together
Since Day 1, Healthie has built to support a different vision of healthcare: proactive, personalized, longitudinal care that prevents chronic disease, enables better outcomes, and empowers patients to be at the center of their care through long-term relationships with their providers.
This quarter's releases show what that vision looks like as an organization grows. Care Alerts turn what used to be a verbal handoff, or a note buried in the chart, into a structured, auditable signal that every member of the care team sees at the point of care. With Automate by Healthie, the follow-ups an organization already knows it should be doing run on rules the organization sets. With AI Encounter Summaries and AI Scribe Tasks now part of AI Charting, the administrative work that follows a visit gets lighter for every team on the platform.
None of this changes what Healthie is built to be: a platform organizations configure around how they already deliver care, with the depth to support custom workflows once a team is ready to build them.
