Vori Health’s integrated care model pairs board-certified physicians, physical therapists, registered dietitians, and health coaches on a single shared care plan, delivered virtually and in-person to treat back, neck, and joint pain without defaulting to surgery. As Vori scaled to serve employers and health plans across all 50 states, a custom webhook-based data pipeline became a bottleneck: every new field or object their team needed translated directly into engineering work. The Challenge
Why does pediatric behavioral health need different tooling?
Vori’s original approach was pragmatic: use webhook events to detect changes in Healthie and sync them into an internal database. For a lean time at an early stage, it was a reasonable call. The problem emerged as the clinical product grew.
Webhook-based pipelines require active, manual maintenance for field additions, new object types, error handling for missed events and retry mechanisms. Each new data requirement from clinical ops, partner reporting, or product analytics translated into a discrete engineering task: scope, build, test, ship and maintain it. That backlog compounds quickly for a scaling care organization.
At its peak, the infrastructure required a dedicated software engineer just to keep data flowing reliably downstream. That’s a significant opportunity cost when the same engineer could be building care differentiators.

Building a scalable data stack
Vori had straightforward objectives: to maintain an accurate, up-to-date record of data for reporting and operations. This meant migrating to Bridge by Healthie's Snowflake Direct Share.
Three capabilities now do Vori's heavy lifting:
- Snowflake Direct Share: Healthie data lands directly in Vori's Snowflake warehouse with no custom ETL, no webhook listeners, and no schema migration work on their end. When Healthie’s data model evolves, Vori’s warehouse reflects it automatically.
- Consolidated dbt model: Bridge data feeds a comprehensive dbt layer that consolidates Healthie alongside Vori's other clinical and operational data sources into a single, unified schema. Clinical operations, analytics, and reporting all read from the same model.
- Downstream BI and partner reporting: Business intelligence tools for clinical managers and business users surface directly from the dbt layer, powering outbound partner reporting, CPT code analysis, clinical charting review, and patient survey data. All without engineering involvement in the data pipeline.
