Shapa
Pulls weight, fat mass, and muscle mass from a client's Shapa scale into Healthie as metrics, using Shapa's numberless, color-based feedback model to support long-term behavior change instead of showing clients a number. Providers review the actual weight values in the Journal regardless of what feedback the client's app shows.

The problem it solves
Providers want objective weight trend data for clients, but showing raw numbers on every reading can work against clients managing eating disorders or weight-related anxiety. Standard connected scales don't offer a way to track trends clinically while limiting the numeric feedback the client sees day to day.
What's included
- Automatic sync of weight, fat mass, and muscle mass from a connected Shapa Scale
- Actual metric values recorded in Healthie, independent of the color-coded trend feedback shown in the client's Shapa app
- Eating Disorder Default Setting to fully hide Shapa-sourced entries from client view
- Per-client, per-group, or global toggle to enable Shapa as a sync option from Client Settings
- Metrics Report CSV export filterable by client, group, or Metric Type
How it works
A provider enables Shapa sync for a client, group, or globally from Client Settings under Integrations. The client then connects their Shapa Scale from the Healthie mobile app; their own Shapa app shows a color-based trend toward their goal rather than a number, but Healthie records the actual weight, fat mass, and muscle mass values. Once connected, data syncs into the client's Journal once daily each morning. Whether the client can see these entries in Healthie depends on the provider's Metrics & Visibility Settings; many providers, particularly in eating disorder care, turn client visibility off entirely via the Eating Disorder Default Setting.
Shapa integration pulls weight, fat mass, and muscle mass from a client's Shapa scale into their Healthie Journal, while the client's own Shapa app shows only a color-based trend indicator toward their goal rather than a number. It's for providers who want objective weight data without necessarily exposing raw numbers to the client, and it requires the provider to enable Shapa sync for that client before they can connect a device. Clients connect their device from the Healthie mobile app, and whether they can see the resulting entries in Healthie depends on the provider's Metrics & Visibility Settings, including the Eating Disorder Default Setting, which hides Shapa data from the client entirely. The sync doesn't pull in historical data from before a client connected their device, so trend data starts from the connection date forward.
