Multiple Payout Accounts

Lets organizations with multi-entity or multi-state billing needs connect multiple Stripe-linked bank accounts to a single Healthie organization, instead of just one. Payments can then be routed to the right account by entity, region, or state, so multi-entity billing doesn't have to be split across separate Healthie organizations. Account creation, Stripe onboarding, and account management all happen in Healthie's settings.

Built by Core Engineering

The problem it solves

Organizations that bill across multiple entities, states, or regions need payments to land in the correct bank account for each one, not a single shared account. Healthie's standard payment setup only supports one linked bank account per organization, which forces multi-entity organizations to either commingle funds in one account or stand up separate Healthie organizations just to separate payouts.

What's included

  • Multiple Stripe Connected Accounts within a single Healthie organization
  • In-app account creation, Stripe onboarding, and account renaming/listing
  • Per-transaction payment routing to a specific payout account via the API
  • Support for multi-entity and multi-state billing structures
  • Compatible with Sub-Organizations for routing payments by sub-org

How it works

An admin creates additional payout accounts from Healthie's settings and completes Stripe onboarding for each one — the same identity-verification flow used for a standard bank account. Once multiple payout accounts exist, they can be renamed and listed from that same settings screen. To route a specific payment to a specific payout account at the point of transaction, the payout account's identifier is passed via the API; there's currently no UI control for per-transaction routing. Organizations already using Sub-Organizations can alternatively route payments by sub-org, since each sub-org can be tied to its own payout account.

Payout Accounts let a single Healthie organization connect more than one Stripe-linked bank account, instead of being limited to a single payout destination. It's built for organizations with multi-entity or multi-state billing needs that would otherwise have to split billing across separate Healthie organizations. Creating a payout account, completing Stripe onboarding, and renaming or listing accounts are handled directly in Healthie's settings. Routing a specific payment to a specific payout account at the point of transaction is done via the API, using a payout account identifier.
