Manage CPT Codes
Maintain a centralized library of CPT codes with a default price per unit for each, so pricing stays consistent across Superbills, CMS 1500 claims, and appointment-type pricing. Search codes by number or description, and once linked to an appointment type, the code and fee auto-populate when scheduling that appointment. Bulk import support is available for Enterprise accounts migrating an existing CPT code list.

The problem it solves
Re-entering the same CPT code and fee on every claim, Superbill, or appointment invites pricing inconsistency and wastes time. Manage CPT Codes solves this by centralizing every code and its default price in one place, feeding it automatically into the places it's needed.
What's included
- Centralized CPT code library with a default price per unit
- Searchable by code number or text description, with the ability to mark frequently used codes as favorites
- Feeds pricing automatically into Superbills, CMS 1500 claims, and appointment-type pricing
- Automatic CPT code and fee population when scheduling a linked appointment type (with auto-create CMS 1500 enabled)
- Bulk import support for Enterprise accounts migrating an existing code list
How it works
An admin enables Pricing per Appointment Type from Settings > Appointments > Payments and Credits, which makes the CPT code library visible. From there, they search for a CPT code by number or description, assign it a default price per unit, and can mark frequently used codes as favorites for faster selection on future claims and Superbills. Once a code is linked to a specific appointment type, that code and its fee automatically populate on claims for appointments of that type once auto-create CMS 1500 is enabled; the number of billed units can still be adjusted per claim or Superbill. Enterprise customers with an existing list of CPT codes and rates can send it to Healthie's team for a one-time bulk import instead of entering codes manually.
Manage CPT Codes gives practices a centralized library for their CPT codes, each with a default price per unit, so the same rate is used consistently everywhere a code is billed. It's built for insurance-based practices that want to set pricing once rather than re-entering a fee every time a code is used on a Superbill, CMS 1500, or appointment type. Requires Pricing per Appointment Type to be enabled first. Once a CPT code is linked to a specific appointment type, that code and its fee automatically populate when scheduling that appointment type, once auto-create CMS 1500 functionality is enabled. Enterprise accounts migrating a large existing CPT code list can request a one-time bulk import from Healthie's team.
