Client No-Show Sends Chat

Automatically sends a chat message from the client's provider when a 1:1 appointment is marked as a no-show. Prompts the client to reschedule without requiring any manual outreach.

Built by SE Team

The problem it solves

When a client misses an appointment, timely outreach is critical to retain them in care -- but manually identifying no-shows and sending individual follow-up messages creates delays and inconsistency across providers. Without automation, no-show follow-up depends entirely on staff bandwidth.

What's included

  • No-show status trigger -- fires when an individual appointment is marked no-show
  • Provider-attributed chat delivery -- message sent from the client's assigned provider
  • Customizable chat template -- pre-configured message text editable per organization
  • Applies to all 1:1 appointment types
  • Pairs with task-based no-show workflows for multi-channel follow-up coverage

How it works

Trigger

Appointment marked no-show

Logic

Appointment type = individual (1:1)

Action

Send client chat

Client No-Show Sends Chat triggers when a client's individual appointment status is updated to no-show and automatically sends a chat message from the client's assigned provider. The message acknowledges the missed appointment and invites the client to reschedule, using a pre-configured template that can be customized per organization. This workflow is built and managed through Automate by Healthie and applies to all 1:1 appointment types. It is designed to complement task-based no-show workflows such as Task Creation on No-Show or Late Cancellation.
