The problem it solves
Providers who sync their calendar externally need to see who an appointment is with at a glance, but showing a client's name on a calendar not covered by a BAA creates a HIPAA compliance risk. Without this setting, appointments sync as generic blocks, leaving providers to open Healthie separately to see who they're actually meeting.

How it works
Once a signed BAA is on file with the external calendar provider, this setting is enabled for the account. Appointments pushed to that provider's synced calendar then display the client's name instead of a generic placeholder.
To preserve HIPAA compliance, Healthie's calendar sync doesn't push a client's first or last name onto an externally synced calendar by default. This setting lifts that restriction once a signed BAA is on file with the external calendar provider. It's built for providers who sync their Healthie calendar with Google, Outlook, or similar calendars and want appointment details to include the client's name rather than a generic placeholder. For group or enterprise accounts, enabling this applies it across the whole organization, while enabling it for an individual provider is handled separately.
