How it works
A persistent floating widget appears automatically on any browser tab a provider navigates to while an Ambient Scribe session (in-person or phone) is active. It confirms transcription is still capturing in the background and remains visible across all tabs until the session ends — clicking it returns the provider directly to the session tab.
This widget is a small but important part of Ambient Scribe, the in-person/phone extension of Healthie's AI Scribe. Because Ambient sessions run in a browser tab rather than inside a Zoom call, a provider who switches tabs mid-session — to check a patient record, look something up, or handle another task — has no visual cue that transcription is still active unless they return to that tab. This widget solves that: it surfaces automatically the moment the provider navigates away, stays pinned across every open tab for the duration of the session, and disappears once the session is ended. No separate setup is required — it activates automatically whenever an Ambient Scribe session is running for a provider who has AI Scribe enabled.
