Harmonic Health is a dementia care company founded in 2023 to deliver immediate, evidence-based care for Alzheimer's and dementia patients and their caregivers. The Challenge
Why does pediatric behavioral health need different tooling?
When Harmonic Health set out to deliver dementia care under CMS's GUIDE program, the core question wasn't which EHR to pick. It was whether to build or buy, and how fast either path could realistically move. Building from scratch meant $1M+ and over a year before seeing a single patient. But buying off the shelf came with its own problem: every platform the team evaluated was designed for traditional physician practices, not for care navigators coordinating complex, multi-state dementia care under strict enrollment timelines. The answer had to be fast, flexible, and purpose-fit, not just ONC-certified.
The team evaluated Elation, Canvas, and Athena. Each came up short: too rigid, too slow to implement, or not suited to GUIDE's specific requirements. Through peer recommendations in the digital health and value-based care ecosystem, several dementia and chronic care management peers flagged Healthie as the most flexible platform for non-traditional care models.

Building a GUIDE-ready care platform without building the infrastructure
Healthie gave Harmonic Health a clinical foundation that was ready on day one: ONC-certified, HIPAA and SOC 2 compliant, and built for the kind of rapid customization a young company in a strict regulatory program requires. "Healthie gave us a patient-facing scheduling and communication layer, care plan documentation, and integration capabilities we could adapt quickly to dementia care," says Young.
