Partnering with Integrative & Functional Nutrition Academy

Learn about how Healthie has partnered with the Integrative and Functional Nutrition Academy. Discover how we can work with IFNA providers.

3 April, New York – Healthie is excited to announce a partnership with the Integrative and Functional Nutrition Academy (IFNA). For providers who complete IFNA training, Healthie accounts will automatically include templates and intake forms provided by IFNA to ensure that the transition to practice is as seamless as possible.

Healthie’s telehealth platform allows IFNA providers to conduct HIPAA-compliant video visits with their patients, and to use their training to review visual diet logs generated by patients through mobile applications. The providers are also able to set goals, chart with IFNA-provided templates, schedule, and bill for visits.

Erica Jain, CEO of Healthie, remarked that “the partnership is a natural fit due to the mutual emphasis on a healthy lifestyle as medicine and prevention of illness through modification of diet and exercise. We view the IFNA approach as a strong part of the future of medicine, and are thrilled to have the opportunity to work together to streamline care for IFNA graduates”.

IFNA’s clinically-oriented training program educates a wide range of healthcare providers that includes physicians, dietitians and nutritionists, and health coaches and allied health providers.

The innovative “whole food as medicine” philosophy is taught by highly acclaimed integrative and functional medicine practitioners Dr. Sheila Dean and Kathie Swift, who host a series of modules with a carefully selected faculty of experts. These modules are eligible for continuing professional education units (CPEUs) and providers are able to earn an integrative and functional nutrition certified provider (IFNCP) credential upon completion of all tracks offered.

Dr. Sheila Dean and Kathie Swift, co-founders of IFNA state “We are excited that the Healthie accounts now include the IFNA tools since this integration will enable IFNA providers to focus on client care, and save valuable time in the setup process.”
